CAT 6 swa cable is also known as outdoor ethernet cable, direct burial internet cable, external data or network cable and whole host of other names. The Armoured cat6 cable is LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) and 24AWG (American Wire Gauge). The outer diameter is just shy of 1cm, measuring a total of 9mm OD. Like all Armoured cat5 cables we stock, the make up of the Steel is Galvanized. This is a premium build of cable and the best prices on-line for GSWA (not the cheaper corrugated steel tape). Exactly like the data cable we would use for our home computer or Internet router. The main difference being, is this cat 6 cable has a Galvanized Armoured Steel Wire plating protecting the 4 pairs of Ethernet cable. The cable is then layered with a Polyethylene Sheath (PE) which gives the outer jacket a protection against UV and moisture.
